God. I hate that I do that. Most of the bad man behavior here I can laugh at because I’m not prone to those behaviors, but this one? Guilty as charged. Insecurity–meh.

It could be his own insecurity. The girl might be a really good cook here. She seeing his confidence should step in either by asking him what she should do to make him comfortable or ease up on the supervisory role. Sometimes having someone breathing down you neck constantly makes someone nervous.
